Summer Vision Board Ideas for the Beautiful Life You Imagine

How to Create a Summer Vision Board With Intention

Like many others, I spend a lot of time picturing what I want my life to look and feel like. Sometimes I do this on a large scale, focusing on the big goals and milestones I’d like to achieve, and other times I think smaller and turn my attention to my everyday life. I do some of this in my mind, but I prefer coming up with something I can look at and clearly see what I envision.

Why I Swapped Pinterest for an Analog Vision Board

For years, I did this on Pinterest. It’s so easy to make several vision and mood boards for any need, and “pin” any image that grabs your attention. The problem I’ve found with this is that I often lose direction and my boards just become an assortment of things I like rather than anything intentional, and I’m also trying to spend less time on my phone and computer. So, I recently decided to take a more analog approach to making vision boards and go back to the basics with paper and scissors.

Vision Board Ideas for a Slow, Romantic Summer

Vision Board Ideas for a Slow, Romantic Summer

With summer quickly approaching, I decided to create a vision board to represent what I want for this season. After a busy few months, I decided that this will be the “Season of Slow,” so I went through past issues of Bella Grace to find photos that captured this, including a woman swaying in a hammock, a garden being tended to, a woman relaxing on a dock, and more. Though I could have left it at that and taped these images to my wall or a posterboard, I decided to get a little creative and put my vision board on something unexpected, and so I chose a wooden tray.

And though I want my summer to be slow, I want a little bit of adventure as well, so I included some carnival tickets, a map, and an old postcard to represent that. I then finished it up by adding some dried flowers and other elements that I thought added some interest to the board. I love looking at the board and thinking to myself, “Oh, yes. That’s exactly what I want this summer to look like!”

Creating a Mood Board for the Life You Want to Feel

Creating a Mood Board for the Life You Want to Feel

Working on my summer vision board made me so excited for the launch of Vision Boards: A Beautiful Life Imagined, which comes out October 1st! Inside, you’ll find 144 pages of photographs, inspirational quotes, and patterned papers to cut out and use to create your own vision and mood boards. Each element has been carefully selected to help you envision the life you dream of creating.

We’ve worked hard to ensure this goes beyond a collection of materials. This magazine will share ideas for taking your vision and mood boards to the next level and infusing them with a more creative and unexpected touch. You’ll find prompts for creating boards for all areas of your life, from what you’d like your everyday life to look and feel like, to manifesting your biggest dreams.

Don’t just leave your best life to the imagination. Start building it, page by page.

Using a tray, how playful and fun! I have a huge gray worn tray used at a wedding-a new life. It would be the perfect place! I said the other day I wanted a hammock. I’m off to gather, photos and affirmations. I do remember all of my Vision Boards have worked. Yet, it’s been awhile since I’ve taken the time to create one. Today’s the day~ Thank you!
