7 Ways to Spring Clean Your Life

We’ve reached the point of winter where most of us are longing for the warmer days ahead. As March approaches, many people look to welcome the new season with a little spring-cleaning. It’s a great time to freshen up your home. It’s also the perfect time to freshen up your life. Each spring, I like to do a little “cleaning” up in my life. Most of my motivation from the New Year is long gone by now, so I welcome this opportunity to give my life a little reboot. Here are a few quick ways to give your life some TLC this spring.

7 Ways to Spring-Clean Your Life

1. Clean out your medicine cabinet and makeup bag

Throw out any medicine that has passed its expiration date. It’s easy for time to pass without realizing that some of the medicine you use often has gone bad. The same goes for makeup. Do your research and toss anything that’s beyond its recommended lifespan.

2. Make important appointments

Need a checkup or an eye exam? Take an hour from your day and schedule any appointments you need to make for the rest of the year.

3. Rediscover the outdoors

After a long stretch of time spent indoors, schedule a day spent outdoors. Go for a hike, take a picnic, stroll through your city’s downtown area.

4. Have an at-home spa day

Get yourself ready for bare legs and arms with a spa day. Give your mind a rest with a long bath or shower. Smooth your skin with a good scrub followed with a moisturizer. Give your feet a little love with a super simple pedicure.

5. Start a new habit

Have you always wanted to be that person with fresh flowers spread throughout your house? Go buy some flowers! Or do you want to have monthly dinner parties with friends? Pick up that phone!

6. Check-in on your loved ones

Life can get hectic and months can pass between phone calls and texts. Check in to see how the people you love are doing.

7. De-clutter your social media accounts

Do you follow anyone on Instagram or Facebook that constantly puts you in a bad mood or makes you feel bad about yourself? Hit that unfollow button!

    Hello Christen,
I am so, excited about March~ Some small spring like gestures have appeared in my neighborhood in the past two days. Unfortunately, snow is predicted on Sunday, but I am ready-perhaps that will be my spa day!! I love the new habit idea and plan to do just that-I adore flowers if I can’t find what I want then perhaps a new soap or scent~ Thank you! Cheers to spring and new habits!!

    Hello Christen,
today California was declared drought-free. What a day to celebrate. Worth all the rain and ark days. The sun ix shining again and the oxalis is blooming in all it’s yellowness. It’s spring! Fill your house with flowers. I planted two rosebushes today. Love, Carla
